Richard expressed intent to spin a monotone 0.38 release in the very
near future (like, I think tomorrow was mentioned). I'd like to ask
that he and anyone else hold off on uploading an 0.38-1 for Debian for
a few more days; the 0.37-4 package has built successfully on all the
architectures and is only waiting for the 10-day clock to run out
before migrating to testing. As the last version that made it to
testing was 0.31-8, back in April (!), I think it would be good to let
0.37-4 make it to testing before updating in unstable.
Also, I got a certain amount of grief from the release managers when I
asked them to retry the 0.37-4 build on Alpha because
log_quits_on_SIGPIPE had one of its intermittent failures. (They did
it, but they complained.) Will whoever does do the 0.38-1 upload (it
won't be me; I'm in the middle of finals and then I have to move
across the country) please disable that test on .debian-diff only? I
know how to fix it for real but I won't have time until probably
January.
