*shrug* glibc's header files are sloppy. I will apply your patch
upstream, and in an 0.44-3 if there is one, but I currently don't plan
to do a -3 just for this. (If we can get the test suite sorted out
too, though, that would be different.)

It says "3 of 3 test suites malfunctioned" -- that points to a problem
with the test harness. Suggest running ./run_tester_tests by hand in
the build tree and examining its output carefully. It drops logfiles
in <build>/tester_dir/; there may be some in deep subdirectories of
that directory as well as the top level.
