My personal preference would be the copy-to-website option, but it's
naturally quite possible that I'm a lone voice crying in the wilderness
in this regard - maybe everyone else wants a mailing list.
I vote +1 for copy-to-website...
I depends on how often you commit. If not too often count my +1 for the
mailing list. If you do several commits per day then the copy-to-website
option would be better.
