I've been thinking about that as well, but had a hard time
understanding the code. Besides, in what order are revisions syncked
in (keep in mind that with netsync, you should expect to get a bunch
of revisions, not just one)? I know that there's no guarantee email
reaches destination in order, but I would very much like to make an
*attempt* to log in order (as much as that can be done).

That would be the note_commit hook, which is only for local commits,
just as you said.
