I attach a quick attempt at doing this.  I think it would probably be
better to call a lua hook, but this just has a fixed C++
implementation (with no documentation or tests).  Author is chopped at
the first space (so the whole thing ought to be easily selectable; I
find it counts as a space in my terminal, anyway).

I've added it to a few commands.  In particular log:

% ./monotone --last=1 --pretty-revid log -r
