As usual a strange way to express things resulted in a misunderstanding
between cvssync and the server

M RCS file: /cvsroot/gc-linux/linux//Attic/Makefile,v

cvssync recognized /cvsroot/gc-linux/linux as the root of the module and
 took /Makefile as a relative file name ...

I will tell cvssync to ignore unneeded slashes. Watch out for a new
revision.
