[Monotone-devel] specify key directory on Windows

I'm just getting started using monotone 0.33 on Windows XP, from the
binary install.

When I ran 'mtn genkey', it stored the key in

C:/Documents and Settings/stephe/Application Data/monotone/keys/

which is reasonable on Windows. But I'd rather it be stored in
c:/Stephe/.monotone, because I backup c:/Stephe regularly.

The Cygwin version of montone stores the keys there, because I have
the environment variable "HOME" set; it would be nice if the w32
binary version of monotone would use HOME to override the Windows
default.

I'm using the Windows version of montone, rather than the Cygwin
version, because it cooperates with the Windows version of Emacs
better.

'help mtn genkey' says there is a --keydir option, but I'm not clear
if all the other monotone commands will then be able to find the key.
I haven't tried it.

Is there a way to specify the key directory for all commands?

I looked in the monotone manual (monotone.info, from the source
distribution). It mentions a "configuration directory", and
"monotonerc", but I don't see anything about specifying the key
directory.
