I got this error:

The prolem was caused by a file named
'G\:\\Löwenstark\\to\\x.pdf' which is the basename of the file. The full
path looked like this:

/home/sebastian/develop/htdocs/path/to/project/G\:\\Löwenstark\\to\\x.pdf

It was uploaded from a Windows-Client using IE 6 to my Debian system. 

After deleting the file, everythings fine again.
