Ok, I knew this sounded familiar, but I couldn't remember exactly where
it came from. This was a bug which was originally fixed in 0.42. The
cause was that mtn crashed if _MTN/options contained a wrong or
non-existing keydir entry. The latter was the case for your workspace.

If you don't want to update to a newer version, the problem can be
simply fixed by adding a valid keydir to _MTN/options.
