I've an immediate worry that some (most?) people would have no idea what 
an OpenID is.  As www.openid.com is not a real site and the initial page 
for openid.net is unhelpful, you are in danger of putting people off 
because they can't see how they can register/log in.

I'm not anti-openid but you need to make things less scary.
