Dear myExperimenter,

We have the following feature request. We require that we are able to work with myExperiment from within a local environment seemingly as normal, seeing our own proprietary or sensitive content and the content that people made available through myExperiment.org. From outside of our local environment, none of our content would be accessible in any way. This is important for companies such as KeyGene, and presumably organisations that have sensitive data such as hospitals.

We think this translates to at least these requirements:
  • a local installation of myExperiment for sensitive or proprietary data. The data cannot leave the local environment, and is only locally accessible or only for those who have access to the local environment as such.
  • Integration of our local myExperiment with the myExperiment 'mothership' to form a virtual whole for people inside the local environment.
We understand that this relates to 'federated myExperiment', an early ambition for myExperiment.

Many thanks,
Harold Verstegen (KeyGene)
