This is because the white list module escapes all '&' signs and so on when it 
cleans up content provided. In order to solve this, you need to make the URLs 
explicit in the rich text editor by highlighting the text and clicking on the 
link button. Otherwise the white list module converts it to a link and escapes 
the & signs (which is obviously a bug in it).
