Hi,
Find attached a pre-pre-alpha of the search history patch :) It does work,
it needs a bit of improvement and the code needs sorting out (Esp. the
replace section, I've used a goto temporarily, ack ...)
Anyway, this is pretty much why I'm posted this at this stage - I've just
spent ages trying to get the arrow keys to work to go forward and backwards
through the history. It's a nightmare, I don't think I've managed to even
get close to getting them working - Can someone have a look and see if they
can get them to work?
Another point - The whereis help menu is getting very crowded with the
previous and next search options in there - Is it possible to have items in
the shortcut lists which aren't shown in the menu?
It currently uses the same buffer for searches and replacements - Is this
desirable?
Also, should it support the saving of search histories to a .nano_history
file? It's something I've sometimes wouldn't have minded having, but I
admit, very occasionally!
Any comments and help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Carl.
