hello.

I also notice this when I browse the CVS after the .11 package is announced. I
thought it was intentional to reset back all the do_wrap feature (as stated in
the CVS comment), and I didn't post any complain.

but the strange thing is the date, and the number of string the new pot has
removed.

Hi,

I started translating .11 a few mins ago and discovered we seem to have
gone back in time like 2 releases.

Some time ago, I asked Chris to help translators by removing the
duplicate --help strings for GNU long options and short ones.
He did, and the result was that instead of having to translate both
msgid " -t \t\tAuto save on exit, don't prompt\n" and
msgid " -t \t\t--tempfile\t\tAuto save on exit, don't prompt\n",
we just needed to translate something like "Autosave on exit, don't
prompt\n", without the invariable stuff.

This was obviously very convenient for us poor translators, and I found
with surprise that the mess is back in this release (or I'm a bit stupid
and I am looking at the wrong pot file, but it seems to be the right
one).

If I had noticed this in CVS, I would have said something, but
unfortunately I didn't translate in advance for this release (well, I
did, but long ago when the change hadn't happened yet).

Is there a good reason for the duplicate strings again, or can we
_please_ put the thing as it was?

Even worse, we have lost a big pile of messages.
65753:address@hidden:~/src$ msgfmt --statistics nano-1.1.11.ca.po
215 translated messages.
65754:address@hidden:~/src$ msgfmt --statistics nano-1.1.10.ca.po
352 translated messages.

This is very strange. I'm still investigating, as this doesn't make
sense.
