Hello there.

I am using nano daily for scripting php and perl.
The shortcuts and functions are great but i am missing 2 things or maybe i
just cant find how to use/activate them.

The first one is line numbers. i now use ^_ to jump to a line number if i get
a parse error. Or to see at what line number i am at i use ^C but i would be
really nice if one could just see line numbers in front of each line.

The second one is indenting a block of selected text. Most editors allow to
select a textblock and then hit tab to give a tab in front if each line of the
selected text and shift-tab to pull back a tab for each line in the selected
line of text.

I tried to select the textblock with M-a then hit ^-i or just tab but that
does not work alas.

I hope you can tell me if there is an option to activate this or else if you
would be willing and have the time to code this in the future.

This mail has an attachement which is a syntax highlighting i made for php and
perl. Its far from complete but it does the job in general. i hope you can use
it or make it available for anyone who would like to use it.

With kind regards,
Gerard de Brieder.
