speaking of minor kinks, i noticed that if i use the goto line feature and i 
jump to the line i'm already on, the status bar isnt updated (i noticed a 
similar case with search, but i never tracked down a reproducible case)

to see what i mean, launch nano, enable the constant cursor position display 
feature (alt+c), then use ctrl+w/ctrl+t to goto the same line twice in a row 
(so goto say line 3 and then goto line 3 again) ... after the second goto, 
the cursor display isnt updated properly ...
