OK, I can go one better - I have a Gentoo machine here too running Fluxbox,
nano 1.3.8. with normal keyboard.

Linux 2.4.20-gentoo-r8, gcc 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5,
propolice-3.3-7)

Start nano with an empty file.

5 tabs, type "test" <cr>
5 tabs type "test" 6 or 7 times, then 6 or 7 tabs <cr>
5 tabs type "test"

Resize window - segfault. nano will then segfault on opening that file
immediately...
