Still the same thing.  On Konsole, on xterm, and on uxterm.  But on 
urxvt it indeed works.  Looks pretty cool!  :)

When setting in Konsole the keyboard to something else than "XTerm 
(XFree 4.x.x)" the ten keys all behave the same with or without 
Ctrl or Alt.  But still Ctrl+Left and Right don't do previous word, 
next word.

Thanks for looking into this, but it seems Konsole is somehow 
deficient.  It needs another keyboard setting: rxvt.
