[Nano-devel] 2.1.10pre1 and status

is at http://www.nano-editor.org/dist/test/nano-2.1.10pre1.tar.gz

I uploaded it last week, probably would release the official version
in a week or so.

The main change besides the other little fixes and cleanups is that
the undo code is now marked as experimental, and requires a flag (-u)
to use. There have been too many little crash/corruption issues with
the undo code which have been a pain to unwind, and it would be nice
for folks to start being able to test the other new features in the
series by releasing 2.2 sooner rather than later. This way the
ambitious users can test the undo code (though it doesn't seem like
many people are interested in it), and everyone else has a more stable
editor in the interim.

In other news I haven't been completely idle; made an attempt at soft
line wrapping, because that's the only reason I personally still fire
up vi (i.e. I'm editing long lines and want to be able to see the
whole line), but it didn't work out so well and was scrapped. So that
can stay a goal for 2.4 and will give me something to work on in 2.3.

Anyway that's all I have at the moment. Have a good weekend.
