[Nano-devel] Whitespace display for carriage returns?

The subject line basically says it all, how difficult would it be to have 
the "whtiespace display" code show a character for \n?  (Optionally a 
second one for \r).

As things currently stand, when you're using softwrap, you have no way of 
knowing what lines are soft wrapped and what are not.  (I might suggest an 
extra character in the margins or something).  An alternate way is to be 
able to view (or view tha absence of) newline characters.
