Hi Chris,

The nanorc manpage contains these:

  syntax str ["fileregex" ... ]

  extendsyntax str directive [ arg ... ]

Mustn't these str be wrapped in quotes? Nano balks when I leave
them out for the syntax command.

And under include it says that a syntaxfile can only contain syntax,
color, and icolor commands. But that has meanwhile been extended
with the header and magic commands, right?

I've tried to synchronize the new things in nanorc.5 to the texinfo
documentation. You may wish to have a look to see whether I've
missed anything.

Regards,

Benno
