I've no experience with GNU Autotools. But I had already a first look at this
build system. The first step seems to be to create Makefile.am and add its file
path to the top-level Makefile.am. To get the po files released, they have to be
added to EXTRA_DIST, but I don't know yet how to add "po4a po4a.conf" to get it
working. As far as I can remember, I've seen a sample po4a.mk somewhere on the
web (which adds some po4a-related stuff to the toolchain), but I don't find it
anymore...

This seems to be OK so far.
I'll further look for a working example which match our needs.
