Hi,
Currently, when at the WriteOut prompt you change the name
of the file to be written, nano will ask "Save file under
DIFFERENT NAME ?" Which is good. However, when you happen
to change the name to a name that already exists, then nano
just asks "File exists, OVERWRITE ?" Which surprises me.
I think that in the latter case, changing the filename to an
existing one, nano should ask both questions, first the first,
and then the second.
(Because, when you form a little habit of of changing the
filename and then hitting Enter on the subsequent question,
you will be sourly surprised when you unintentionally changed
the name to an existing one: whoops, overwritten.)
What do you say?
(See also https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?46894 .)
