[Nano-devel] Error in /etc/nanorc (default config)

Error in /etc/nanorcon line 178: Two single column characters required

This is where the set wihtespace option is at. I've never touched this.
I'm don't remember when this problem surfaced.
Nano was compiled with:
--disable-wrapping-as-root --disable-nls --enable-utf8

It's version is: 2.5.3

Here's a hexdump of that line just in case our nanos are different:
