It might have been. The discussion with a high GNU administrator took
place last February -- I had forgotten about it. Besides demanding
copyright assignment, he also wanted me to agree to several documents,
more than a hundred pages of text, before I could become an official
GNU nano maintainer. First, it was too much to read; and second, there
were details in it that I couldn't agree with. So there it stalled.
