When M-Space and ^Space are unbound, Ctrl+Left/Right at prompt doesn't
work irrespectively. It is a different (but relevant) bug:
Ctrl+Left/Right at prompt doesn't work when M-/^Space are unbound.

I tried v2.6.3 too (at the git repo).

Please take look at the attached patch that fixes both the bugs.  I
hope indentation at "else if" is as you require and '//' is only for
time being. Should the note be kept, in a milder form?
