Don't do that.  Keep patches as small as possible.  Keep each part
that makes a little sense by itself as an independent unit.  If one

enable persistence (log) for the execute command prompt.

You're going overboard.  Are you using the ^R^X feature that much
that you want to keep a history of the commands that you execute?
I can imagine executing a couple of commands again and again, but
not ten or twenty or more.  What are your use cases?
