Hmm, somehow i seriously doubt that:

server:~ # rpm -qa | grep "libtool"
libtool-1.4.1-16

server:~ # rpm -qa | grep "libxml2"
libxml2-2.4.10-5
libxml2-devel-2.4.10-5

Maybe the versions are not correct?
Well, the versions are ok, it seems, just aclocal was looking at the wrong place for the .m4 files. it now works :)
