5.0 / 5.1 / 5.1 SP!   work... but the plugins are unstable and cause lots of
3ds crashes with these versions
im reliably informed these unstability's are also present in 6.0 i was told
to use 6.0 you have to use VC 7.0 or above
which is a challenge in itself :)
