I'd like to take credit for it, but it's really the brainchild of Jon
Steinhart, with a fair number of improvements by David Levine. My major
contribution was to make it work without having to configure it.

There's actually a significant amount of documentation for it in the "send"
man page. I'm not sure there's a better place to put it; send
is where all of the "real" work for the attach command is taking place.
But it's not obvious that's where it should go. If you could let us know
where you looked, we could put some pointers in the man pages.
