My remark was to assert a general principle, not specifically directed to the
man page for mh-alias. The principle would apply not just to Ken Hornstein,
but to you as well. f you need to look at the sources then the documentation
is incomplete.
As to mh-alias, specifically, after Ken Hornstein's explanations I,
personally, no longer have a problem with it.
What would have helped me:
Clarifying that only addressees in headers are affected.
Stating, either directly, or indirectly, (or example by reference to the
man page for post) exactly what headers are affected.
