Hi,

Have you tried the CVS version ? It contains some important
changes wrt Solaris. For your runtime problems, please check
your auth log, all messages are sent there. You may want to
compile in debug mode too.

Well , I've manage to compile it under solaris 8 (sparc). 
I had to edit config.h after configuration and comment out 

//#define INCLUDE_MY_SYS 1

and 

PTHREAD_MUTEX_INIT....

That doesn't mean it works.... I'm still trying . Possible
sql rights troubles? who knows??
