Follow-up Comment #4, bug #29476 (project octave):

OK, I was wrong, 'do' is not a keyword in Matlab, see
http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/techdoc/ref/iskeyword.html

In the case 'do' is not a keyword in Matlab, then in --traditional mode it
should not be in octave either.
