URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?29570> Summary: Missing font libraries for GL backend give warnings even using the gnuplot backend Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: dbateman Submitted on: Thu 15 Apr 2010 10:33:12 PM GMT Category: Interpreter Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Incorrect Result Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: David Bateman Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: dev Operating System: GNU/Linux _______________________________________________________ Details: I have an aging distribution on my PC and can't upgrade to get the font libraries needed for the GL backend without upgrades X, something I'd rather avoid. As I'm using the gnuplot backend this hasn't bothered me. However for a while I've been getting the messages warning: ft_render: unable to load appropriate font even though I'm using the gnuplot backend. This seems inappropriate to me. Could these messages be suppressed when using the gnuplot backend?
