Follow-up Comment #1, bug #29568 (project octave):
I suspect the problem is that the aspect ratio of the figure "paperposition"
property is no the same as that of the figure "position" property. When I have
the chance, I'll verify. In the meantime, if anyone wants to experiment, I'd
start by modifying the private function __actual_axes_position__() to take
into account the "paperposition" into account when appropriate.
