Follow-up Comment #10, bug #29569 (project octave):
Upon re-examination, there is a problem in the plot stream. Octave developer
sources incorrectly specifies the aspect ratio of the axes box in the gnuplot
plot-stream. I've attached a changeset that fixes the problem for me. I've
tested it with gnuplot 4.2.6 and using the developers sources, pre-4.4.
