Follow-up Comment #5, bug #29861 (project octave):
I thought about fixing the function cntr in __contourc__.cc, which I think is
where the crash actually happens, but I decided to make the other changes
because __countourc__ is an internal fucntion and I think we should not have
to do extensive input validation on internal functions. But I don't have any
strong objection to someone else improving __contourc__ or __go_surface__ or
whatever so that they can't crash on invalid inputs.
