Details:

While working to get to a submittable level for the GTK backend I found that
recent Ubuntu distributions have the "-pthread" option in the results of
pkg-config for almost any GTK library.  This change to mkoctfile.in allows the
"-pthread" option to be passed to the linker by mkoctfile.

I have attached a diff of the tip and my changes.
