Follow-up Comment #3, bug #30685 (project octave):

Does it also work if you remove the gnulib:: namespace qualifier from those
names?  I.e., then you should just be getting the system sigemptyset and
sigaction functions directly instead of using any modified version from
gnulib.

In any case, this looks like a problem with gnulib, so the problem really
should be fixed there.

Regarding the comment about gnuplot, we would welcome additional help...
