Follow-up Comment #8, bug #30685 (project octave):

Since this looks like a gnulib problem, could you try again with the
development sources and make sure that when you run autogen.sh, you get the
latest version of gnulib from git?  If the problem remains, then we can
discuss with the gnulib maintainers.

Or, you can wait for the next snapshot which will have whatever is current in
gnulib at the time I make the snapshot and so might also fix the problem.
