Follow-up Comment #15, bug #31305 (project octave):

I think that for historical reasons filled contours and outline contours were
treated differently in __contour__.m

I consolidated it, and now all contours are drawn in the same way. This might
be a little inefficient for outline contours only -- I'm not sure since I
don't understand the filled contour code.

Anyway, my patch will probably not help in the original complaint -- it won't
make contours faster, but it will make contour lines be in the right color
