Follow-up Comment #6, bug #31709 (project octave):

Such is life I suppose .... thanks for the info.  I am a little surprised,
since even matlab does not come close to competing with lower level languages
such as Fortran/C for loops.  Guess that means if I'm doing something simple
with lots of loops I better use one of them 8)
