Follow-up Comment #3, bug #31742 (project octave):

I just noticed the mistake in my thinking. Sorry. The previous code checked
for h(x) being +Inf, so only for non-violated constraints which are Inf. So it
would indeed make some sense to weed them out each iteration, even if I still
doubt that this was the intention since the original comment mentioned
bounds.

I'll think about that and maybe supply a new patch, but not today.
