Details:

I downloaded "comunications-1.0.10.tar.gz from the octave forge
project to do some am modulation experiments, but when starting
octave and typing after the prompt:

octave:1> pkg install ~/src/octaveforge/communications-1.0.10.tar.gz

Octave hangs, nothing is displayed. Stoping it with ctrl-c I get
the messages:

^Cmake: *** wait: No child processes.  Stop.
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make: *** wait: No child processes.  Stop.
