Details:

Greetngs All

I sent this email to the author of the quaternion package and it bounced back
does someone know how to fix the errors or recommend another
package/commands/example I can use. I'm in the process of learning to rotate
x,y,z coordinates around a arbitrary axis to prevent gimbal lock and I'm
seeing which functions can make my life a little easier.

Here's the error message I sent but then the email bounced back

Greetings

I'm trying to use/test your quaternion m file you created for Octave but I'm
running into some errors
when I install it as a root using the command below

pkg install /tmp/qopm_packages/quaternion-1.0.0.tar.gz
I get warning: function name `qderivmat' does not agree with function file
name `/usr/share/octave/packages/3.2/quaternion-1.0.0/qderiv.m'

then When I run the demoquat command with option 1 I get
error: `prompt' undefined near line 48 column 7
error: called from:
error: /usr/share/octave/packages/3.2/quaternion-1.0.0/demoquat.m at line
48, column 7

When I run the demoquat command with option 2 I get
Simple quaternion functions
error: `run_cmd' undefined near line 91 column 7
error: called from:
error: /usr/share/octave/packages/3.2/quaternion-1.0.0/demoquat.m at line
91, column 7

When I run the demoquat command with option 2 I get
error: `prompt' undefined near line 124 column 7
error: called from:
error: /usr/share/octave/packages/3.2/quaternion-1.0.0/demoquat.m at line
124, column 7

Just to let you know
I'm in the process of learning to rotate x,y,z coordinates around a arbitrary
axis to prevent gimbal lock and I'm
seeing if your function can make my life a little easier.

aloha
Rick
