Details:


During octave-3.3.54 compilation on OpenSUSE 11.3 64bits
there was an error during make:
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so: could not read symbols: File in wrong format
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [liboctinterp.la] Error 1

related to the warning in config.log:
configure:30819: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -pthread   -L/usr/X11R6/lib
conftest.c -lGL  -lm   >&5
/usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.5/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld:
skipping incompatible /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so when searching for -lGL

which disappears after the attached patch is applied.
This is my first attempt to modify a .m4 file, so please be cautious.
