Details:

On the Max (OS X 10.5.8), the default plots (e.g. surfc) produced with
GNUTERM set to aqua are better in appearance than with GNUTERM set X11. When
using "print" to save the plot as (for example) a png file, the saved image is
identical to the plot that is produced with GNUTERM set X11. However, even if
X11 produced the better looking plot, in my opinion the output of print should
match was is being displayed

I have to believe this is already written up, but I was not able to locate
the issues. I have attached aqua.png and x11.png as examples.
