Follow-up Comment #2, bug #32431 (project octave):

I recommmend that you do a diff to see what is different.
The release-3-4-x branch contains nearly every patch that has been applied to
the default branch. So there should not be much difference between the two.
I don't see any test failures on my Debian system with 3.4.0 or the current
development sources.
