Could I add another item to this?
(If it is preferred I could open another bug report,
but, this is related to the original problem.)

Looking at the second example, after displaying the
plot, the xaxis which is on (0,1) does not show
the 0 xtick value. The first value is 0.2.

The yaxis shows 0.  

matlab R2009b shows 0 for x and y.
