Details:

On the following 32 bit systems the following error is shown when plotting the
attached files.

memory exhausted or requested size too large for 
range

Tested on (all 32 bit):
Debian 6 (stable)
Ubuntu 10.10
openSUSE 11.4

The same problem does not happen on the 64 bit versions.

Reproduce by:

load T
load R
plot(R, T(:,1), "-r", R, T(:,2), "-b")

The data files T and R are attached.
